Greetings, Whitecourt/Sangudo/Mayerthorpe-area moms!
LOOKING FOR RELIABLE, QUALITY CHILD CARE FOR YOUR CHILD?
Not busy enough during the day or evening hours when you could be working and being more productive to benefit your family's needs, and community economy? Bring your child(ren) ages infant to 12 years & I'll provide quality child care for reasonable rates so you and I can work more to advantage!
I AM QUALIFIED.
I HAVE GOOD, VERIFIABLE REFERENCES.
I have about 18 years licensed and non-licensed Child Day Care experience.
I am preparing to finish my Education degree online from home, and just made room for doing child care done by minimum monthly flat-rate subscription that is especially great for families wanting to bring kids at set regular times, AND who by subscribing will always have the option for short-notice drop-in child care PRIORITY, too! This subscription service is $25 monthly, plus the regular going-rate fee for each hour your child actually attends, scheduled or drop-in. Please call ahead to verify daily openings once you have my number (The Mayerthorpe day home referral has my number, or you can request that from me by e-mail). My simple, small home day care system guarantees subscribing families receive the best times and days perfect for them even on days they have not specifically reserved in advance, while affording me security in offering that.
Yes, during any open hours not taken by subscriber families each day/week, I offer variable call-ahead drop-in child care for ages infant to age 12, as referred by the local child care referral service or local home-school group. Older children may apply to work here as a paid or unpaid assistant, or apprentice, upon approval from their parents as they and I agree is appropriate, and upon successful signing of a work contract with policies.
Please ask me about my extra plan that makes child care no-stress-affordable for any mom!
About me: New to residing in Alberta full time, I am a Canadian Citizen from birth who enjoyed visiting relatives and sight-seeing here growing up; I was born in Montana to a Canadian mother and was raised mostly in Washington State.
I am currently unlicensed; if I find there is enough consistent need for a full time child care provider where I live, I will seek regular Day Home type licensing, again, like I accomplished before, in the states.
My child day care curriculum aims to be simple, healthy, and, organized to include generous free time for positive social learning and this will be adjusted as needed every day with specific input from kids and parents as we go along because we respect self and others; the light but effective reading and writing and story program we do increasingly at home for all children with specific levels they can progress in age-appropriately that is within my area of expertise as an experienced Child Care Provider and Piano Teacher, can be called "Literature-Based learning". I seek to foster in care: Good literature of variety, thoughtful friends, and merry company, with adequate and appropriate work and play times everyone in care can enjoy.
Aside from the light, simple, fun learning curriculum, the main thing is, that kids learn something they like to learn each day and that they are happy together at care and like coming back. They have the choice of learning alongside me, the different daily work tasks I do for the children in care, age-appropriately, such as helping prepare lunches. I make sure all their reasonable respecting-self-and-others-needs are met in care in order to be considered a reputable and responsible caregiver and ask my prospective parents pay me ahead of time via subscription flat rate monthly fee before children start attending, so that I can better provide quality food and good nutrition to the children in care here in sufficient quantity. Laundry and ironing service for is usually available here, too; just drop a basket of laundry to my porch and for $1 each item I will wash them and have them ready, normally the following day.
Though I do not have anything like the larger residences I and my family once owned in the states here in Canada yet, (and because of that, short stays for the oldest children you have are best, due to the small size of my first house here where they would otherwise be bored) ...nevertheless, I am happy to provide a drop-in child care program where we are at, living modestly. The way we have chosen to live by coming here and buying modestly is conducive to my finishing college without taking out many loans, and, age-appropriate learning opportunities for your child are still possible and provided in this format! This location in a quiet neighborhood with good, fenceable yard near a school is suitable for child care, and day care life here is adaptable to each family's preferences for their children, after an initial meeting and exchange of references is done before the care agreement is put in place.
In our home the real happiness has been the life my husband and I built together with shared values that made it possible for children to run to and fro while someone was always home working and cooking, and there was music after dinner. I am happy when your kids have something good to do and are enjoying genuine and pleasant friendships and having opportunity to learn excellent social skills or its just not worth it to anyone and who would pay for care like that?
I hope the community will find valuable the simple, solid, healthy-clean, child care environment & philosophy I've always offered, enough to where my focus is found to be worth the money spent if not featuring all the various perspectives there are in the world.
In person I don't often choose to have time for many words because I have chosen to be busy changing diapers and taking kids to play, and I will cook for them, keep them happy until their parents arrive, sometimes tutor them. We do our best to have normal basic guidelines that are traditional to our culture we were born into and that mainly involve healthy habits, simple natural health and healing concepts and respecting others. We like to learn alongside the other families we know, about these things in our child care business at home.
I do allow home-schooled kids that are available some days and that are legally old enough to help in Day Homes, to train with me; if they want to help and the parents agree, I do pay them as an assistant part-time and that is valuable job training. If there is ever a shortage of openings in your favorite career path otherwise, a person with training in an ordinary yet in-demand, useful, practical job like child care is, at least has something to fall back on until education can be finished or while applying otherwise. The added advantage to experience in child care is, a young person will gain skill and confidence in what almost everyone will need to know/what to do if they have children some day of their own and in that will experience plenty of reason to believe the best of children generally and gain confidence in their own ability to care for others successfully.
Caring for children ultimately is encouraging work and helps you to believe in them and in yourself, and to become better always, because they think you can do great things and look up to you even when you're not at your best; nobody can bear to disappoint someone who really thinks the world of you and kids and pets are like that. They need us to be great and we need them to need us to be. No doubt this is a superdynamic that is a large part of what makes the world go 'round.
The local Day Home referral center phone and my e-mail address are as listed above, toward the top of this page; the resource & referral center that helped inspect my home during the years I was licensed in Montana and that always kept me on the list for quality child care, is the Nurturing Center of Kalispell, Montana.
Summary:
It is impossible to please everyone, but when adults focus most on how to get their kids playing, learning, healthily and happily together the rest tends to fall into place more than otherwise. "All I ever needed to know I learned in Kindergarten" is a favorite book for circle time. |
