I'm looking to find either a part or full time position as a live out nanny. I'm open to come to your house or my own. I recently graduated from the ECE program in BC. I just moved to Ottawa at the end of July and have a 4.5 month old son.
I'm a very outgoing, bubbly individual. I'm the eldest of four children, two of which I cared for regularly growing up. As a recent college graduate from the ECE program I've learnt many things about infant and child development and what they need in order to grow into their own unique individual. Through my program I've learnt about fun and artistic ways which are enjoyable for children whilst helping them develop and strengthen all of their developmental domains. I do not believe in punishments, or time outs. Instead I deal with conflict or any problems that may arise by talking with the children about how they may be feeling and what caused them to feel this way. If they have trouble expressing in words we may try so by doing an art activity or maybe some dramatic play. I truly believe each child is their own unique individual and strive to be the best care giver I can be in order for them to feel safe and happy while in my care. I strongly believe in the poem "the hundred languages of children".
