My name is Michelle. I am the proud Mommy of a 15 year old daughter, and a 4 year old son. I am a former special education teacher (7 years in the classrom) and have oodles of certificates in special needs, childcare, behaviour management, etc to name just a few.
I have been providing daycare for a few years now, but we are moving, downsizing to be exact because let's face it, sending a child to university in a few years will be expensive :) Instead of the daycare, I would like to offer a nanny service for one child.
My childcare philosophy is learning while having fun. The child in my care will be exposed to sign language, english and french. Little ones will learn animated literarcy ABC's, 123's and much much more through a play and learn program. (Did you ever think that singing, dancing, drawing and playing were learning?) It is, and its a fun way to learn.
I provide healthy meals and snacks, daily outings to nearby parks, trips to the zoo/library/toddler drop in programs etc. Children in my care are NOT left to sit in front of TV's! I make sure that each day includes: sensory, dramatic play, tactile etc forms of learning and playing. I do provide a report of how your child's day went, how their mood was, what they ate/drank etc.
Your child will receive 1:1 care just like he/she would with Mommy or Daddy. In the mornings, they can enjoy some play time with my 4 year old, and then they will have afternoons of 1:1 with just me as my little guy is at school. |

Admission conditions |

~ Must love pets ( we have 3 fur babies, they are all fixed and declawed)
~ Child must be able to be transported in my vehicle as I do have to drop off my own children at their schools and pick them up during the day.
~ Care is provided in my home. If you would like care to be provided in your home, I must be able to bring my little guy with me and the cost would be $40 per day (travel expenses). Must also be located in Oshawa for in home care. |
