Hello! My name is Julie; I am a fully trained and licensed Montessori Preschool Teacher with over 10 years experience. I offer a full day Montessori Preschool program with lots of outside time. A small class size (max 8 children), makes my program a great bridge between toddler daycare and Kindergarten.
I believe that an organized environment and a variety of developmentally appropriate activities are key factors in supporting each individual child’s needs. I strive to make learning fun and effortless through all of our daily activities. The Montessori philosophy encourages children to work at their own level with activities that call to their individual interests. A group of mixed ages provides opportunities of leadership as well as encouragement to strive for what’s next. The program places emphasis on the development of social responsibility and independence.
In addition to our big forest-like back yard, we visit local parks, beaches and playgrounds as part of our physical education. Snacks are provided, and we have nap/quiet time every afternoon. We like to have special days regularly, such as Toy Day, Crazy Hair Day, PJ Day, Game Day, Backwards Day, Movie Day, Show and Tell, etc. The fun is endless!!
The Curriculum areas are: Practical Life, Sensorial, Mathematics, Language, Science and Culture, Arts and Crafts.
I am now taking a wait list for the next available full time opening.
Currently, I have one part time space available. (Mondays and Fridays only)
