Sun Valley Kids Child Development Centre Inc. commitment to the families is to provide quality care for the children in a safe, accepting and developmentally appropriate environment that promotes learning through play and creative experiences.
We believe that each child is special and unique. We believe development is interrelated and therefore our program philosophy espouses that children have a natural curiosity that is nurtured through an integrated, authentic, play - based approach. We recognize that a universally designed curriculum framework promotes optimal development of children when teachers respect and respond to the child’s learning opportunities in conjunction with their families and communities.
We are a pre-accredited centre striving to go above and beyond licensing standards. We love to try out new experiences with the chldren and we have a large outdoor play space to encourage gross motor play.
Admission conditions
Admission of your child requires:
• Getting acquainted with our staff members and physical premise.
• Completing a Registration form and a Child Profile sheet.
• Providing a copy of your child's Alberta Health Care Number.
• Reading and signing a Parent Agreement form.
• Paying a registration fee.
Subsidy
Subsidy assists parents in paying monthly child care fees and is available for those parents who meet eligibility criteria. Parents may ask for information and an application form upon registration in the centre. Parents are responsible for maintaining current subsidy and meeting subsidy requirements. Any amounts not paid for by subsidy are the responsibility of the parent.
