Children absorb what they observe in their surrounding environment, thus Maria Montessori coined the phrase “the absorbent mind”. Given this face of “absorption” it is essential that the children be placed in a prepared environment. This environment is one that invites children to engage in learning opportunities of their own individual choice. Special materials are used to facilitate this process. Each child uses the materials and develops his or her own pace.
Our dedicated staff is chosen carefully and all of our head directresses hold either a Montessori Teaching Certificate, a Bachelor of Education Degree or an Early Childhood Education Degree.
