Welcome to TINY HOPPERS Barrhaven
We are currently accepting registration for full and part time toddlers and preschool care.
Tiny Hoppers opened its doors in Riverside South, Ottawa in 2005. We have expanded to include 9 locations. We take pride in being selected as one of Ottawa's Best!
The Barrhaven location opened its doors September 2011.
Owner Maria Lisi was a manager at head office for years before she was bit by the entrepeneurial bug and decided to open her very own Tiny Hoppers location!
Tiny Hoppers Barrhaven is a charming, cozy location quietly nestled in the Cedarview Mall. It's also known as “Barrhavens coziest little daycare”
Tiny Hoppers* is recognized for its curriculum. We follow the Elect model. We focus on early literacy, numeracy, gross motor, fine motor, cognitive skills, social-emotional skills, sensory, arts, manipulatives and science and technology.
All of our educational centres are carefully planned to provide children with an exciting hands-on learning experience that touch on activities in all areas of learning including math, science, literacy, and the arts. Hopper teachers must attend a yearly training course that is designed to teach them how most effectively to teach literacy to young children and how to best promote literacy in their classrooms.
Our curriculum is theme based which helps us to focus our learning activities on themes and activities that the children find most interesting. Although the Tiny Hoppers* curriculum is carefully laid out in detail, teachers are encouraged to enhance their program with additional activities based on the individual needs and interests of the children in their group. These new activities and ideas are then shared with all Hopper staff, across the city, through a private teacher Blog which is a resource that our teachers use to come up with new and exciting ideas for their classrooms. At Hoppers we work as a team to make sure that we provide the most exciting, energetic, and fun learning environment for your child.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
