Hi my name is Tracey. I am a mother of two boys, 14 and 11 years old. Children are a large part of my life. I love to watch them learn and grow! I'm a registered Early Childhood Educator with 18 years of experience working with the YMCA Child Care Centers. I was a stay at home mother for 9 years, during which time I volunteered in Co-op Nurseries and at Prince Phillip School. In 2011-2012 I worked for the YMCA early years program. I also ran my home daycare from 2012-2015.
I have transitioned to a full day, full time day care program that is available five days a week. Part-time spaces available, as well. I believe in providing an environment that is safe, secure, caring, loving and nurturing. My goal is to create an atmosphere that will encourage learning and curiosity by providing many new activities and experiences. It is important to have structured and flexible schedules. Structured activities include an interactive learning circle, story time, musical activities and lots of crafts.(The more glue and sparkles the better! LOL!) Free play is one of the more flexible activities. I will focus on encouraging social, emotional, intellectual and physical development. Your child will receive quality individual care where they will build self confidence and a positive self image. We will have fun preparing for the transition to school by learning shapes, colors, letters and their sounds. Our most important priority is to have fun and make new friends. I am certified in C.P.R. and First Aid.
Our household is nut free, smoke free and pet free. Our home is designated as a heritage building. We put on an addition at the back of the house in 2012 where we built a dedicated daycare facility. We also have a large fenced in yard with a swing set, a sandbox, little cottage etc. for the children. Nutritious snacks and lunch will be provided.
I'm currently accepting children ages 2-4 years old. I have 1 full-time or part-time space available Monday through Friday 7:45 am-5:00 pm. Starting in September. Please contact me for an appointment at your convenience. |
