“The most important period of life is not the age of university studies, but the first one, the period from birth to the age of six.”– Maria Montessori
Quince Tree Montessori is excited to introduce two programs that accommodate infants, toddlers and children of a variety of ages: full time pre-casa and/or casa. Quince Tree Montessori cultivates a love of learning while guiding a child’s foundational development.
· The Pre-Casa program focus on fostering coordination, control of movement, concentration and independence. Maria Montessori recognized this age to be in a growth phase, in which she called the “sensitive period,” each with characteristics that guide physical and mental development. These periods are recognizable by an intense interest shown by the child for sensorial and abstract experiences.
· The Casa classroom allows for an individual learning experience utilizing the diverse set of Montessori materials, activities and experiences. The specialized materials are designed to teach the concepts of Language, Mathematics, Science, Geography and History as well as practical life skills and development of the senses.
My vision for Quince Tree Montessori came into fruition in 2018; however, my over 20 years as an educator and my studies as a ECE and Montessori infant toddler/early childhood education showed a need for customized one on one programs. My programs and centre adheres to licensing rules and regulations; however, being unlicensed allows me to treat each child uniquely and attune programs to their developmental needs.
Quince Tree Montessori offers:
· Full time Pre-Casa and Casa programs (4-5 days per week) in a home environment with small ratios (optional gradual entry available upon request) -> $60 C/day
· A warm inviting environment that adheres to all safety standards while being developmentally stimulating and engaging
· Farm to table inspired snacks and lunch programs -> nutritional meal plans will be posted on a weekly basis because of food sensitivities based on allergies/food sensitivities and ethnic beliefs
· Casa programs will take a Montessori approach and there is also a heavy emphasis on outdoor Montessori learning
