STEM Tykes Philosophy
Young children require nurturing and stimulating activities. Our research-based programs are intended to provide high-quality, developmentally appropriate education and care to children of all backgrounds. Our highly engaging games and activities foster the development of early STEM skills including creativity, numeracy, problem-solving, and spatial competencies.
We are inspired by inquiry-based learning, the Reggio Emilia approach, and the growth mindset philosophy of education, where creativity, social skills, and children’s interest guide the curriculum. Children direct their learning in collaboration with teachers and families. This program is intended to provide a safe, fun, and happy place for each child attend before and after school.
We also embrace the SPICE model to develop the whole-brain child. This approach engages children in activities that encourage Social, Physical, Intellectual, Creative, and Emotional development. Through a caring and open environment, children hone critical social and emotional skills and develop strength of character. This philosophy, combined with STEM content, fosters the development of capable and confident global citizens. |
