IVY RICHMOND:
Private Cultural Learning Program
There is one opening in a rare luxury LNR school with 7 students aged 2-9 years old. The children are from different resident families who reside in a beautiful mansion estate community for professional Mothers and their children. Four professionally-trained teachers are on-site and attend to the program daily. This special facility allows for the lowest known teacher-to-child ratios in The Lower Mainland at 1:4 maximum. References for our schoolcare program include nurses, doctors, child protection social workers, and Vancouver Coastal Health executive staff since 2016.
The curriculum follows holistic principles and implements an innovative method of learning to provide an accelerated private learning experience. This cultural learning program is designed to promote awareness and strengthen character around a unique approach to children's development that includes principles such as defining physical activity equally important to cognitive activity. Students as young as 6 months in CADA programs can engage in a daily mixture of activities that include classroom, nature, and city-based ctivities.
Lesson plans are exhaustive with a loving approach that helps to prepare your child for public or private school. We strongly implement the 7C method of learning that utilizes 7 foundations of Arts, Music, Literacy, Science, Athletics, Recreation, & Spirituality (ex. yoga, meditation) to create highly-enriching lesson plans. Maximum class size is 4 students and teacher-to-child ratios are 1:2 and 1:4 depending on the age group. Each class regularly joins with other learning groups, daycares, and schools for selected activities and field trips.
Ivy's notably low ratios allow providers ample space and resources to genuinely care about the outcome of their students each day. Teachers are able to instinctively detect and identify sensitivities, barriers, interests, and strengths in a child so that the provider may adjust their approach naturally and efficiently to accommodate that child's needs. The foundational intent of Ivy programming is to strengthen a child's overall character in addition to teaching a higher standard and quantity of knowledge and skills. For example, a class syllabus may include early introductions to the building blocks of basic business & organizational skills (ex. logic, resource management, budgeting money). Or instead of teaching 2D shapes, teachers will also show their students the 3D counterparts (ex. circle to sphere, square to cube, etc).
Ivy is a member of CADA (www.cadasociety.com) and offers a wide variety of cultural, recreational, and educational activities across beautiful Lower Mainland. This in-depth curriculum translates into patient, intelligent, non-reactionary children who are able to communicate very well in any setting. Community members often comment that children in CADA-based programs appear to be advanced, including physically and cognitively. Notable references include child protection social workers, registered nurses, practicing doctors, and Vancouver Coastal Health executive staff.
