IVY VANCOUVER:
Private Cultural Program For Advanced Children
There are 2 openings becoming available next year for Ivy Vancouver. The curriculum follows holistic principles and implements an innovative method of learning to provide a highly enriching private learning experience for ages 5 years and under. Our full-day, city-based cultural learning program is designed to promote awareness and strengthen character around a unique approach to early development that includes defining physical activity equally important to cognitive activity. Ivy's lesson plans are exhaustive with a loving approach that helps to prepare your child for public or private school.
Maximum class size is 4 students. Teacher ratios are 1:2 and 1:4 depending on the age group. These rare low ratios allow providers ample space and resources to genuinely care about the outcome of their students each day. The ratios also ensure safety during a wide variety of activities as Ivy is an outdoor city program that is not home-based. Teachers are able to instinctively detect and identify sensitivities, barriers, interests, and strengths in a child so that the provider may adjust their approach naturally and efficiently to accommodate that child's needs.
The foundational intent of Ivy programming is to strengthen a child's overall character in addition to teaching a higher standard and quantity of knowledge and skills. Ivy Vancouver is a member of CADA (Canadian Accelerated Development Association) and offers the highly sought-after CADA-based programming that is supported by the society. CADA combines "The 5 CADA Principles" and the 7C method of learning (combined workshops between arts, music, literacy, science, athletics, recreation, & spirituality) to create an in-depth curriculum. This curriculum translates into patient, intelligent, non-reactionary children who are able to communicate very well. Community members often comment that CADA children appear to be advanced, including physically and cognitively. You may find more information about CADA at www.cadasociety.com.
