I am delighted to provide this letter of reference for Jennifer Morrissey and her company, as she pursues the opportunity to establish a Montessori School in Burlington.
We met during a business meeting when I was the City and Regional Councillor for Ward 2 in Burlington. In fact, after the business meeting, and reviewing their business plans in detail with staff, I can provide a reference without hesitation. During this time I was also able to learn more about their focus and sensitivities to establishing a school to serve residential zones. This is a business and school that would be filling a need in the area and I encouraged the OLOTR Montessori School & Daycare to consider opening a school as soon as possible.
Burlington is a growth area for business and more particularly for residential growth. The number of new residents, especially families, has exceeded the expected growth targets. Understanding the needs of the city, as it grows and renews, I saw the OLOTR Montessori School & Daycare as a welcome addition, meeting the needs of young families, who are establishing their homes and raising their families in Burlington. The School has a philosophy that I believe will be embraced by the citizens. The values and mission of the school clearly reflects an understanding of the growth and development needs of our children and our community.
