Waterfront Montessori Children Centre celebrated our 30th anniversary in 2004. The Centre program is a unique combination of the Montessori method and Early Childhood Education, which gives our children the best of both approaches.
Our 32 space childcare centre located on Toronto Island is licensed by the Ontario Ministry of Community and Social Services under the Day Nurseries Act for children ages 2½ to 5 years. Our Summer Day Camp is for children ages 4 to 6 years. Summer Day Camp runs 4 two week sessions. Child care subsidy may be available through Toronto Children Services. City residents are escorted on the 10 minute ferry ride by our staff to Ward Island. From there we walk or take our small school bus to the Centre.
