The Little Green Schoolhouse is located in Applewood Acres. The licensed early childhood learning centre offers half-day programs for children preschool to senior kindergarten age. A hands-on, literacy rich curriculum, integrating language, math, science and the arts, also emphasizes healthy living and well-being which nurtures the whole child.
The centre boasts a secure natural playground area large enough to incorporate an organic garden where the children will help plant fruits and vegetables. Seasonal garden foods will be incorporated into the school’s organic menu and weekly activities.
The primary motivation for going green is to provide children with a healthy start to their educational journey which supports their young developing bodies and minds in a safe learning environment.
The eco-friendly facility, in Mississauga South, creates a family-like environment. Great care was taken in its design, with materials and equipment chosen to meet key renovation objectives: excellent indoor air quality, low energy utilization and minimum environmental impact.

Our half day morning and afternoon programs are available Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. and 12:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Extended hours are available.
Teacher/child ratio for our preschool room is 1 to 8, and 1 to 7 for our kindergarten room. We are licensed for a capacity of 15 children in our morning program and 15 children for our afternoon program. Our staff is fully trained and Ministry approved E.C.E. teachers.
