Cameron Child Care Center strives to offer an environment in which children want to learn, teachers love to teach and families feel at home.
We are Cameron Child Care Center and are currently licensed as a Infant/Toddler and 3-5 year facility with programs for children aged 6 months -3 years and 3 - 5 years. We are located in Southside Port Coquitlam beside Cameron Park. We have a very open, colorful and rich indoor and outdoor environment.
We teach children through the use of a developmentally appropriate and theme based curriculum. The children at Cameron Child Care Center are given the opportunity to explore, experiment and create in a safe and nurturing environment. To enhance learning in our program we incorporate multi-cultural and anti-biased activities. We believe that self-esteem is critical for optimal growth, and therefore we focus on socialization and self-help skills some examples are: learning through play, using manners at all times, and asking for help)
The goal of guidance and discipline is to assist children in developing respect, self-control, self-confidence and sensitivity in their interactions with others. Staff model desired appropriate behaviors and words. In the 3-5 year room children are instructed to use words when solving disputes and problems with friends and teachers, if this does not work they are encouraged to seek out help from a teacher. When a child would like to play with an item that another child is playing with children are encouraged to give a timeline (ex. 5 minutes) so the other child knows when it's their turn; we also encourage sharing toys that can be shared. In the Infant and Toddler room we use redirecting and distraction with the younger children of the group and the older we also use sharing and giving other children a timeline of when they can play with a toy that is being played with.
Parents bring lunch for their children and the center provides 2 healthy snacks for the children in the morning and afternoon.
Hours of Operation 7:00-6.00
Monthly Rate for Tuition
Infant and toddler 4 days a week is $850
Infant and toddler 5 days a week is $1000
3-5 years is a flat rate of $675
