Outdoor Adventurers is a fully licensed 3 - 5 year old group daycare where the emphasis is on the outdoors. Each week we walk to our learning forest where the children can discover, explore and learn about their natural world. Through imagination and physical challenges children gain a deeper understanding of their surroundings as well as what they are able to accomplish on a personal level. We believe children thrive when given the opportunity to reconnect with nature, breath deeply and grow freely in a natural and safe environment. We are outside everyday, either in our forest, at our local parks, our large backyard or exploring our community. Children need to be outdoors everyday to develop a love of the environment, a respect for our planet, and have the opportunity to explore their changing world. We are outside every day in all kinds of weather.
School readiness is also important for your preschooler in order to enter kindergarten with confidence. We follow the BC Early Learning Framework with emerging and expanding young children's physical, intellectual, emotional, social and creative capacities. With circle times, stories, songs, yoga, arts & crafts, science experiments, literacy, monthly themes and so much more, your little one will be well prepared.
Every Wednesday we alternate between music and movement class and yoga class with amazing instructors who engage the children in a fun and educational way.
Our E.C.E staff ratio is double the licensing requirement with 2 teachers and 8 children. Personal, quality care is very important to us. With our smaller class size and double the standard staff ratio we create a warm, family feel with our little learners. This also helps eliminate closures due to staff illness.
