Junior Explorers Preschool is small group setting, which allows us to provide individual attention for your child. We can care for up to ten children, ranging in age from 2 1/2 to 5 years of age. The Centre has a wonderful, energetic, Licensed, Early Childhood Educator, Ms. Moreen, and her aim is to provide a warm and nurturing environment for all the children and parents. She wants to provide children with opportunities for social, emotional and intellectual growth.
Junior Explorers Preschool offers an emergent curriculum, which is inspired by the Reggio Emilia and Montessori ways of teaching. We have a program designed specifically for preschoolers that will help them at their stage of development. Children will get to explore early science, math, phonics, writing, art, music, dance, sensory skills and practical life activities. The program offers a curriculum to stimulate interest in a wide variety of themes and topics.
Philosophy: Junior Explorers Preschool is dedicated to provide an environment that is safe, nurturing, intellectually and socially stimulating, where children can learn through a combination of open-ended and structured learning activities. Our program will help each child explore through early learning experiences and play. At Junior Explorers Preschool we promote children's socialization skills, such as sharing, caring, manners and compassion. We also encourage problems solving as well as self confidence.
Ms Moreen is a licensed Early Childhood Educator and is FirstAid & CPR certified and has Foodsafe. Criminal record check done. References available. Junior Explorers Children's Centre is fully licensed by the Fraser Health Authority & the City of Coquitlam. Also registered with YMCA.
We are open Monday to Friday.
Morning classes are 9:00am - 11:45pm
Afternoon classes are 1:00pm - 3:45pm
5 day program, 3 day program & 2 day program available.
