Description
My centre is emergent curriculum based, I believe in learning through play which has proved to be a very effective way for children to use there developmental skills. I follow monthly themes plus ( each child's birthday, special holidays, etc.) I also provide enriched curriculum (example science experiments, math centre etc.) I also provide monthly field trips to a location that is related to our monthly theme. We will take two trips a week to the local public library and get each child to pick a book that he/she can sign out on the daycares library card. I will also take the children to the local recreation centre and particapate in the playmates program which includes a variety of large motor skill activities.
