Review of Little Country Daycare:
Finding a quality daycare in the Lower Mainland can be a difficult and stressful process for families. Therefore, we feel extremely fortunate that we were able to enroll our (at the time) 1 year old son in Little Country Daycare.
At many of the other daycares we visited before choosing Little Country, it seemed like the main thing the daycare workers wanted to impress us with were their large screen televisions and vast collections of children’s DVD’s. There was often little sense of structure to the day or activities to engage children in learning. They all seemed more interested in distracting the kids and keeping them busy rather than actually teaching them and having them interact with meaningful play.
Upon meeting Cari, her professionalism and engaging personality were readily apparent. Her background as a pre-school educator is evident in the way she runs her daycare. While there is plenty of free play, the kids are given a multitude of productive activities that keep things fun and interesting, and Cari does an amazing job at coming up with new ways to engage the kids in cognitive and physical development. The kids were always learning something new and Cari accounted for the varying ages and personalities of the children when coming up with these activities.
Cari also has exceptional communication and organization skills. Every day, she provided a brief snapshot of what our child did that day and worked with us to help overcome any difficulties that invariably come with a child entering daycare. We always felt connected with what was happening. When entering the daycare, it was clear that everything has a place and it was always neat and clean.
It was also nice to see Cari and her family invest in their own business. They purchased an excellent play structure and other outdoor toys and games, as well as sun shelters and kid sized furniture.
As our son progressed, we could see his confidence and personality develop every day. He loved going to daycare and telling us about his day when he got home. It was an environment in which he thrived, and it was amazing to watch him grow up these last two years interacting with his friends and learning about himself and the world.
Cari’s professionalism and commitment to fostering the development of children is truly remarkable. We only hope there is still room at Little Country Daycare for our next child when the time comes!
If you visited or if you're using a childcare provider found on DaycareBear, do not hesitate to leave a review. This will most certainly help other parents!
