My goal is to provide a place between home & school and to help support families when they can't be together. I'm offering my care for families in need of irregular and part-time hours.
Everyday I will provide children with activites and materials to help build PILES: physical, intellectual, language, emotional and social development. I have a separate area in my home which is filled with all the learning centres in commercial daycares: library/computer, toys, science, art, dramatic play, circle, etc.. I have a large yard and am close to parks. Healthy and tasty snacks/meals will be provided. My home is 100% smoke-free. I will work with parents to incorporate their schedules and routines for after hours care.
I graduated from the Early Childhood Education program in 2002 and have been working in the field since '01. I experienced everything from full-time and supply, in non-profit inner city/ private-owned suburbia/ school-board with young parents and newcomers to Canada. I've worked with newborns through teenagers.
I resigned my last position for maternity leave with this plan in mind and now have an amazing 18-mth old, with another on the way this August.
Admission conditions
I do have a large dog, but she DOES NOT live in the house. However, she will be locked in her pen during outdoor time.
I will need time off for doctor's appointments and other family needs. I am offering care for part-time, occasional, shift work or possibly able to work out a schedule with you.
