Hi, my name is Sarah. I opened my daycare March 2012.
I am very exciting about my daycare and I am really enjoying being a childcare provider.
Although my formal post secondary training is in the accounting field, I have two years of experience as a teacher’s assistant with both the Ottawa-Carleton Public and Catholic School Boards.
Under the direction and guidance of teachers, I prepared lesson materials, tutored and assisted children individually or in small groups in order to help those master assignments and reinforce learning concepts presented by the teacher. I supervised children from kindergarten to grade 6 in classrooms, school yard, gymnasium and on field trips. I provided extra assistance to students with special needs.
Daycare Programming:
Arts and Crafts: painting, colouring, scissors, glue, variety of paper, stickers, and many other materials. I also have available play dough.
Language and Reasoning: puzzles, games, music, books, toys, educational videos
Outdoor Activities: walks, 2 parks with in walking distance, backyard playground (Summer time –Splash pad, sprinkler, and baby pool)
