Welcome to the Itsy Bitsy Play House where our belief is that; fun and learning come together. We offer a vibrant, safe, home environment to enrich and care for our little clients. I would like to begin with a brief introduction to myself followed by an outline of what we have to offer at The Itsy Bitsy Play House.
Introduction
First and foremost, I am a mother, and this allows me to really build a strong relationship with children. It is my love for children that has the doors of my home open for this Playhouse. We provide a professional, nurturing and caring environment for children where they not only have a lot of fun, but learn along the way. My passion for such daycare services has spanned over 26 years, starting with my own Montessori in Saudi Arabia where I was catering children from 18 months to 6 years old. I provided a very comfortable, fun and structured agenda for each day the child was in my care. Not only we had fun and were relaxed in a cozy setting, we also learnt to read, write and count as well.
Description of itsy Bitsy Play House
Now to describe Itsy Bitsy Play House, my day care in Pickering. We are located in a very family friendly neighbourhood, in a detached house, in which we offer our fully furnished infant/child friendly entire house, for our Daycare. It is a spacious, smoke and pet free environment, equipped with accredited playschool equipment (Lakeshore USA products). The property also includes a large, fully fenced garden that is accessible to our children. Shortly it will be equipped with many outdoor activities.
Our daily schedule includes a carefully thought out mix of learning including
• Alphabet-numbers-shapes-colours-general knowledge coupled with fun filled activities such as art and craft-painting-play dough and doll corner.
• Singing, dancing and group activities.
• Free play
• Story time
• Two snacks
• Nap time/ quiet time
• Discipline
• Hygienic habits
We will be preparing the children for grade 1, where they will be taught to read fluently, write journals using the phonics and math concepts.
Our key is to always make sure we capture the child’s interest and attention.
Along with all our learning activities we pay extra attention in ensuring that children receive as much rest and nutrition as needed. It is an essential part of their growth and we endeavour to do our best in ensuring all children’s needs are met.
• Separate room for napping, sleep mats will be provided
• All staff are fully trained in CPR and First Aid and have Metro Toronto Police Clearance.
Time: 7:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. (from Monday to Friday) |
