Itsy Bitsy Play House
Welcome to the Itsy Bitsy Play House where our belief is that; fun and learning come together. We offer a vibrant, safe home environment to enrich and care for our little clients. I would like to begin with a brief introduction to myself followed by an outline of what we have to offer at The Itsy Bitsy Play House.
Introduction
My name is Saana Salih. I possess a diploma in Montessori Education and I am currently looking to pursue and ECE designation via part time education over weekend. I have been working with my mother for over 7 years, assisting her with her playschool in Saudi Arabia.
During this period I was involved in teaching, playing, singing, dancing and other activities taking groups and managing by myself. I was successful in controlling them, disciplining and working individually and in group. It is my love for children that I was able to move closely with them understanding the needs of each age group.
I enjoyed reading stories to them and making art and craft.
We provide a professional, nurturing and caring environment for children where they not only have a lot of fun, but learn along the way. My passion for such daycare services has spanned over 7 years, including volunteering my services at daycare locations in Toronto as well as the British International School in Jeddah, in the infants department for an year. I provided a very comfortable, fun and structured agenda for each day a child is in my care.
I have CPR and first aid and have Metro Toronto Police Clearance.
Description
We are located in a very family friendly neighbourhood, in a detached house, of which we offer our fully furnished infant/child friendly basement, for our Daycare. It is a spacious, smoke and pet free environment, equipped with accredited playschool equipment (LakeShore USA). The property also includes a large, fully fenced garden that is accessible to our children and is also equipped with many outdoor activities. Wagons, cars, playhouse and large play structure, sand box, water play, basketball net and balls.
Our daily schedule includes a carefully thought out mix of learning including; the Alphabet, Numbers, Shapes and Colors coupled with fun filled activities such as art and craft, singing, painting, educational TV programming and Play dough. Our key is to always make sure we capture the child’s interest and attention.
Along with all our learning activities we pay extra attention in ensuring that children receive as much rest and nutrition as needed. It is an essential part of their growth and we endeavour to do our best in ensuring all children’s needs are met.
