Welcome friends and familles. I am a mother of 4 precious children with ages 16, 17, a very active and happy 3 years old daughter, and a couple months old baby boy at this time (10 months old in September,2013 by the time I start My Family Home Daycare). I have decided to work and stay home with my children to be able to personally take care of them and share my love and care to other children as well. My Family Home Daycare will be open Monday to Friday except statutory holidays.
I have have been in different field of jobs in previous years and have been worked as a Child Caregiver/Nanny for 11 years with different families from newborn to teen-agers in 2 countries (Singapore and Canada). One of the great family I have served in Singapore was with 6 children with ages 3 weeks old, 3 years old, 7 years old, 9 years old, 11 years old and 14 years old. That was my great experience ever in my life! ;)
It is important that children feel they are a welcome part of not only their own family unit, but also of their "extended families" (i.e. friends, school, daycare, church, etc.) Today, a child's family may take on many forms, all of which are of equal importance to the child.
I believe that family childcare is a very important extension of you and your child's family. As your child becomes involved in the daily routines they will see the connections between home and family childcare in a friendly and supporting way. A flexible daily program will respond to the needs and interests of the children, individually, and in group settings. By encouraging children to learn and develop at their own level they will gain the confidence of self-importance. Give them guidance and understanding and they will have the opportunity to explore their world in a safe and controlled environment.
Please Note: In My Family Home Daycare, the children Will be in a "HOME SETTING ENVIRONMENT". Meaning NOT like SCHOOL or a BIG PLACE to play but it is fair size area to play around. They will LEARN to SHARE, have FUN in my little HAPPY HOME;) but I'll make sure your child/ren is/are SAFE & HAPPY and WELL taken CARE OF.
Our Daily Schedule:
Our daily schedule is very flexible to allow for unplanned events or other opportunities that may arise throughout the day. Some days we do not fit all this in....but we try!
We have a movie day once a week on Fridays. I choose the movie! We usually watch it after snack in the afternoon. Sometimes we will have a picnic on the rec/family room floor with a large blanket and lots of pillows.....and we eat our snack while watching the movie or educational tv. This is only done as a special reward "cause we had such a good day"!
We do go outside everyday to play in the backyard or at the Parkland (weather permitting).
7:30 am - 10:00 am Arrivals/ Breakfast/wash up/Free Play with choice of toys/Circle Time
10:00 am - 10:30 am Morning Snack
10:30 am - 11:30 am Creative activities, Arts & Crafts/coloring, painting, Indoors or Out, poems, songs, dancing exercising, ball play, play at the backyard or at the park, (weather permitting).
11:30 am – 11:45 am Clean-up Playroom - Wash up for Lunch
11:45 pm - 12:45 pm Lunch
12:45 pm - 1:30 pm Quiet time: Settle children for quiet activities. Stories, books, puzzles, blocks, educational TV (PBS channel) or movie.
1:30 pm - 3:00 pm Naptime; Children who do not nap are provided with quiet activities while the others sleep or we may work on a special project "just for them"!
3:00 pm - 3:30 pm Afternoon Snack
3:30 pm - 4:30 pm Structured Play - group activities, puppet theatre, outdoor play, indoor games, etc.
4:30 pm - 5:00 pm Free Play/Parent Pickup & Departure
