I provide quality childcare in a clean, safe, loving environment. All meals and snacks are included and are healthy and nutritious, adhering to Canada food guide standards. I provide daily scheduled activities that include plenty of time outdoors playing, and inside time is spent doing arts and crafts, dramatic play, blocks/building, dancing and singing, reading, and daily circle time teaching letters, numbers, colours, shapes, days, months, etc. I also provide a separate nap area, so children are getting the rest they need. We have a smoke free home with a friendly cat and chihuahua, who are fantastic with the children and become a great way to teach caring, responsibility, and the importance of gentle hands and feet. Television and computer usage is limited to less than 30 minutes per day, and is used only under direct supervision from myself. Any material viewed is child friendly and educational. I also keep my adult to child ratio low, so I'm able to give each child individual attention, and focus on their development. I will not have more than 4 children including my own 2 in my care at any time.
I am a mother of 2 children myself, and I know how difficult it can be leaving your child. I encourage parents to visit or call as often as they'd like. I am relatively new to child care as a career, but I've been doing it since December and I have never been happier. I adore children, and I believe when you enjoy what you're doing it's not work! This is what I will be doing for the rest of my life. Everyday is a joy, and these kids are my life. I am patient and caring, and happy to offer my services.
