A home daycare provides you with the opportunity to have your child outside of a school setting, where the day can become excessively long when school and daycare are combined. A home atmosphere allows your child a much-needed break from the busy school day and more flexibility can be offered. This is an environment NOT based around TV but based around a loving home environment where outdoor play and interaction with similar aged children through games and activities provides a thriving environment. A home daycare also allows you the flexibility to continue to work while your child may be away from school sick (guidelines for how sick a child can be must be followed for the well-being of all children). The care-provider/child ratio is smaller in a home daycare setting, providing far more one-on-one attention than any commercial daycare can provide.
