I like a structured day, but not over-structured. Lots of free play for the children to learn through socialization with each other. I strongly encourage independence and foster confidence in the children I work with. I like to run my daycare as a loving home atmosphere, but with added learning opportunities. Big focus on routines, and teaching the children how to follow the routines and rules of the daycare.
Healthy, kid-friendly meals.
Circle time, snack time, nap time, park, wading pool and library trips, outdoor play, arts and crafts, monthly themes, games, calendar, music time, dance parties, yoga etc.
I have worked with children in a daycare setting and camps, as a nanny, in a classroom, and most recently as a behavioural therapist for children with autism.
I am CPR and first aid certified. (2017 re-certification)

I have a small dog who sleeps most of the day. He is great with kids. Very gentle and quiet. Only a concern for those with pet allergies (although he is technically a "hypoallergenic" breed) :) My current daycare kids love him! |
