Hi! So you are now on the hunt to find the perfect match for your child/childrens caregiver. I have been there and understand what a difficult decision you are facing. I would like to tell you a little bit about myself and my home so you can decide if we might be a fit for eachother.
I have always loved being around children. I started off with a plan to be a Child and Youth Worker where I excelled in courses such as Psychology, Family Dynamics, Social Dynamics as well as Human Growth and Development. While I truly loved my program I realized that I wasn't cut out for working in such a field. I loved the children, found it very rewarding but I am the type of person that can't turn it off after hours and would find myself unhappy with the tragedies I was around. I was very fortunate in finding a position working with a family practitioner as her assistant. I was given the opportunity to watch children grow and achieve their milestones.
I have two beautiful boys myself and after the birth of my second son I decided it was time to really follow my dreams and work more closely with children. I opened up my dayhome and have loved it ever since. My boys accustomed to a larger family right away and we are a very welcoming and social family here and hope to see it continue to grow. My oldest is now enrolled in full-time school and I have decided to open a couple more spaces for some children to join our group.
I have also been a part-time piano teacher for the past 10 years so music plays a big role in our program. We regularly have music time where children will learn how to express them selves through different instruments, beats and rhythm, and of course our beloved dance parties.
When I meet a new family one of the first things I stress is that my home is your child's home away from home. I offer a great pre-school program that is designed to meet every child's individual stage and readiness. Along with ABC's and 123's, I focus on teaching our children the importance of manners, self-respect and social awareness. I feel that with these skills they are a little more prepared for the expectations that come with starting their school careers.

For employees of the BOE and parents who have additional childcare help I do offer relief for all school closures. You would not have to pay a holding fee for: Christmas Holidays, March Break or the summer holidays and your child's space would not be compromised.
