LITTLE PEANUTS PLAYCARE
A Private Family Dayhome Serving Somerset, Shawnessy, Millrise, Silverado, Bridlewood, Evergreen and Surrounding Areas.
MY PHILOSOPHY:
Little Peanuts Playcare is committed to providing quality childcare through a balanced approach to early learning and lifelong healthy growth. As a caregiver, my role is to make each day a happy learning experience for your child by including opportunities for socialization, group play, reading aloud, dress-up/costume time, arts and crafts, outdoor play and much more.
This day home environment promotes the optimum development of each child in all areas including physical, social, emotional, creative and cognitive by providing and encouraging stimulating activities to enhance all aspects of your child’s development while allowing them to learn and grow at their own pace. Children will be helped to learn independent thinking, moral responsibility, sharing and building a positive self-image.
It is my goal to work with parents to keep each individual child’s routine as consistent as possible with their at-home routines. I believe in a structured, yet flexible environment where open communication with parents is key.
ABOUT MY DAYHOME:
Children are provided with breakfast, morning snack, lunch and an afternoon snack each day that will follow the Canada Food Guide to ensure their daily nutritional requirements are met. All of the meals prepared at the day home are healthy and home cooked.
Daily activities are structured yet flexible to allow for children to have fun, learn and grow while keeping as close to their at-home routines as possible. Daily activities include but are not limited to: indoor/outdoor play, arts & crafts, circle time & story time, educational & science related activities, music, dress-up, walks to nearby playgrounds, field trips etc.
With a very large fenced yard, swingset, playhouse and plenty of toys and activities for children of all ages (both indoor and outdoor), fun and fresh air are always accessible at my dayhome! Somerset Waterpark is just 1 block away and is always a hit with the kids during the warm months.
As a part of our enriched learning environment, children at Little Peanuts Playcare are taught and encouraged to exercise good hygiene practices such as washing hands before and after meals, after toileting, after crafts and after sneezing/coughing etc. To ensure the well-being of the children, I have a very high standard of health & safety in my dayhome and posess my First Aid/CPR as well as a Police Clearance.
