*** I provide before and after school care for children in school full time. Daily rate of $20 for before and after school care.***
I am a mother of 2 children, a 7 yr old and 4 yr old. I have over 20 years of experience caring for children, and I have work experience in a daycare centre. I am a loving and caring person, and i love children. I will treat your children like I treat my children, and I will encourage them to learn and grow. I have my Emergency First Aid and CPR certification through St. John's Ambulance. I speak English and Portuguese, and i am able to speak a little bit of French.
We are a smoke free, dog friendly home located in Heart Lake (Hurontario/ Sandalwood area). The dogs are in the home, but separated from the daycare area. I have a spacious daycare area that occupies the basement of my home, with a separate bedroom upstairs for nap time. We have a toy area with toys for all ages. We have activity cupboards that contain arts & crafts, puzzles, paints, colouring supplies, play dough, puzzles, books, etc all geared to each developmental stage. We have activity, story time and music everyday. We have an indoor playhouse, kitchen set, workbench, chalkboard, easel, and kiddie tables for lots of crafts. We have dolls, cars, Lego's, riding toys, etc. You name it, we likely have it!
We have a large, fenced in back yard with a swing set, a toddler climber, water table, sand box, pool, teeter totter and picnic table for outdoor meals and snacks. We make time to play outside everyday, provided that the weather co-operates. We are within walking distance of at least 3 playgrounds, one being less than 5 minutes from our house. We are also within walking distance from Loafer's Lake Rec Centre and Library, where we will go occasionally. I am bus eligible for St. Stephen's Catholic and Somerset Public Schools.
I strive to be a good role model and an excellent caregiver for your child/ren. I will teach them respect for one another, good manners, responsibility (ie picking up after yourself) colours, shapes, numbers, self care etc.
I provide snacks and lunches for the children.
