Description

I love spending time with my son so opening a home daycare is an obvious choice for me.

I strongly believe that children learn best through play. I will provide an atmosphere that promotes positive growth and development for each child to learn and grow at their own rate. Each child is an individual and therefore they will learn and grow in their own unique ways. The children and their families are my priority. I will provide a strictly anti-bias environment. My centre is open to any child regardless of their abilities, culture, race or family structure. I will work in partnership with all parents and children using this daycare to provide the best possible care for the children and to give parents the piece of mind needed to leave their little ones in my care.

My goal in providing quality child care for your child is to provide:

A safe environment

A nurturing environment

A learning environment… learning is not necessarily the ABC’s and 123’s, but is also the learning of values. The learning of honesty, respect, self–reliance and potential, self-discipline and moderation, the values of being dependable, loved, sensitivity to others, kindness, friendliness and fairness are the values of giving.

And to foster unconditional love… this kind of love is very important to me because children should not grow up feeling that in order to be loved and cared for they must meet numerous conditions.

Activities:

Group Play: Singing, dancing, play acting, games, reading, listening to tapes (story and music), circle time, crafts

Free Play: Children have a choice of - blocks, kitchen toys, dolls and accessories, blocks, play sets, household toys, pull/push toys, art materials, puzzles, and may watch limited television or videos

Language: Nursery rhymes, finger plays, stimulus pictures or objects to encourage verbalization, reading to the children

Outdoor play: (weather permitting) In a fenced back yard - swinging, climbing, riding toys, running, ball playing, gardening toys, trucks, strolling dolls, (please remember to dress your child appropriately for the weather, if in doubt, dress in layers or bring extra clothes)

Special Days: Include Birthdays/holiday parties and getting ready for holidays

A few tips...

Always ensure that your child receives quality care by taking the time to investigate the provider and by asking for references! We simply cannot verify the claims of every daycare provider.
