I am a mother of three (ages 11,7,4) inviting you and your children to our Family Daycare! I have over 16 years experience with children including: youth leader, day camp councilor, Sunday school aide, nanny, babysitter, tutor and home daycare provider. I offer a smoke-free home environment where growth and discovery are encouraged through various types of play. Having myself being exposed to a variety of subjects from a very young age the topics of Horticulture, Environment and Conservation, are all subjects near and dear to me and are incorporated into my daycare regimen through outdoor play, planting and nature related crafts. ( we like to use renewable resources and recycled materials as much as we can)
We love to play games both to learn and have fun, and our science experiments (such as making our own play-doh, bubbles, slime, hover crafts and volcanoes) are always a joy! We also enjoy baking treats like, loaves, as well as various fruit muffins, cookies and mini cakes. The kids always bring home a little something that they make to share with their families!
There is outdoor play every day. Our front door literally opens up to a small park! We also take excursions (little day trips) to places like the splash park and other area parks as well as the library etc. Also, we like to go on special trips to both the Museum of Agriculture and the Museum of Science and Technology. During the summer we also like to pick our own berries and visit the nature trails! On rainy days, or days were it is just too hot to be outside, we have movie themed afternoons with special treats and/or we play Bingo with little prizes to be won!
I am bilingual (my mother tongue is french) and am fluent and comfortable in either language.
I provide a lunch and two snacks for full day and an after school snack for the before and after school going children.
I am on the bus routes for St. Lukes and Pierre-Elliott Trudeau elementary schools.
