Hi my name is Kate and I am excited to have moved with my family and our established day home to Okotoks, which is such a beautiful family orientated community! I have been running my lovely, little day home since 2010 and before that I was working in and managing daycare centres in England for the past 9 years. The early years of a child’s life are vital. This is the time when you, as a parent, can help to set the foundation for your child’s healthy development.
Finding the right daycare for your child is one of the most important decisions you have to make at this point in their lives. I hope I can make it a little easier for you by providing a warm, loving environment where your children can feel safe, secure and happy.
At Giggles and Wiggles I provide quality home daycare within a warm and learning enriched environment. I encourage every child to reach their full potential through love, care, praise, sensitivity and respect.
I offer a structured routine that is taylored to your child’s individual needs and allows your child to explore, investigate, and be creative and engaged during child and adult led themed activities and a variety of activities are offered to stimulate your child at every stage of their own personal development and to encourage them to explore the world around them. I also offer a curriculum based programme for all the little ones through Mother Goose Time.
Activities range from a variety of themed arts and crafts, malleable play, treasure basket play, exploring and creating music, imaginative play, cooking, gardening, shake up and wake up time, threading, trips out into the community, building using a variety of blocks, reading, singing, circle time, outdoor play in my fully fenced backyard and much, much more.
I offer healthy, nutritious meals and snacks, which are always home made, with natural ingredients where possible and my home is pet free and smoke free!
