Description

Out and about home daycare is a child care service in the scarborough area. caring for children ages 6 weeks to school age, out and about focuses on giving your child continuous adventures throughout the day.

A day at Out and About home daycare is always an adventure. I decided to call my home daycare Out and About because we are spend each and every minute experiencing things in various excursions, be it having fun at local businesses or exploring nature trails.

A typical day starts with the initial drop off at my home, then drop off at school for all school aged kiddos. All infants, toddlers and preschoolers then get to come with me in our nifty seven passenger van to either the Toronto Zoo, Ontario Science Centre, MegaFunforKids indoor playground or one of our area's many amazing Early Years Centres. After some nutritious snacks and a lunch (all designed by local nutritionist, Kalayaan Garcia De Vera), we will usually do some outdoor play. I particularly enjoy nature walks. We do live in Toronto's largest conservation area, so I love to take advantage of it all. Once the school bell rings, we pick up the school aged kiddos and head to the Port Union Community Centre for afternoon snack, circle time, reading time and pick up.

You will then pick up your children knowing they breathed fresh air, learned some new songs, saw some amazing things and made new friends.

Picking up/dropping off your child at home can be negotiated depending on where you are located. I currently do drop offs to Charlottetown Public School, St. Brendan's Catholic School, and Centennial Road Public School and may be able to accommodate your nearby school if schedule allows. By law, your child will only be among 4 other children (3 maximum under 3 years old).

I have a strong arts/physical activity background, so you can expect other great activities to include:
baby/toddler/kiddo yoga and stretching
shell collecting
photography for wee hands
storytelling and recording
puppetry
bird watching
and more seasonal outings such as snowman/snow angel making; fall leaf collecting etc.

Give me a call so that we can discuss the possibilities and so that I can meet your child.
