Hi, my name is Jessica and I am a registered Early Childhood Educator, certified Personal Support Worker and mother of one. I have many years experience working with children of all ages as well as experience with children with special needs. Before moving to Ilderton and going on maternity leave I was working for the Durham District School Board as an ECE in a full day kindergarten classroom.
I run a child-led curriculum; meaning that I follow what the children’s interests are and base my activity plans off of these interests. Each day we will do activities in all the learning centres; cognitive, math and science, creative, dramatic, sensory and literacy. These activities may take place in or outdoors. Weather permitting we will spend time outdoors at least twice a day, playing in the backyard or going on walks to the neighbourhood park.
I serve 2 meals and one snack per day, these meals are based off of Canada’s Food Guide and are homemade.
Admission conditions
I am open from 7am - 5:30pm and charge $40 for full time and $20 for before and after.
I currently have openings for:
1 fulltime child aged 24 months and up
2 before/care spaces
