My Ottawa West home daycare is located near major commuting roads and highway, in the middle of several beautifully developed neighbourhoods of Woodpark, Carlingwood, Glabar Park, and Whitehaven. I have been licensed through Natural Connections Childcare since 2016.
- I provide quality childcare in a comfortable home environment, where your child can feel relaxed, is encouraged to explore, and have fun learning and achieving developmental milestones.
- Wholesome lunch and snacks, with an emphasis on locally grown food choices; fresh seasonal fruits and vegetables, whole grains, nuts and seeds, responsibly sourced meats and legumes, whole dairy products.
- I have many years of experience supporting a variety of dietary choices and food restrictions.
- The kids are encouraged to touch-smell-taste a wide variety of foods. They have fun being involved in the kitchen, playing important roles with meal planning, baking, experiments, canning, and play dough making.
- Creative play-based program for the kids to celebrate and grow! The children are supported to be themselves, however that may look each day. Many daily opportunities to work on fine and gross motor development processed art and crafting, making music, building vocabulary and movement to music, books and reading, self-guided and peer group dramatic play.
- Welcoming, relaxed home environment conducive for individual discovery, growth and practice, building those important skills needed for kindergarten readiness. We also explore opportunities that introduce French vocabulary and baby sign language.
- Plenty of outdoor fun everyday; backyard play, forest nature walks, and many opportunities to explore the various green spaces and parks in the neighbourhood. Our outdoor adventures also provide us with many friendly social interactions with other people out and about in the neighbourhood, including weekly visits to the library.
- It is important that parents and informed and included in their children's individual development, daily routines, and enjoyed activities. I provide detailed daily report.
- With licenced agency since 2017. (we currently do not have CWELCC funding)
- Current CPR-C/First Aid and Anaphylaxis training certificates.
- Current Vulnerable Sector Police Records Check.
- Annual in home fire and safety inspection, which includes product servicing and fire extinguisher training certificate.
- I have 16 years experience providing home childcare.
- I have many more years of experience caring for children.
- Active member of the Child Care Providers Resource Network of Ontario for 14 years, where I have gained many workshop and training certificates.
- I am dedicated to my continued learning in early childhood development, and in my commitment in continuing to provide quality childcare.
