I am the grandmother of 5, currently caring for 2 of them before and after school. I was a private daycare provider for 21 years and for the last 4 have worked in a total care group home. For the last two I have been one of the front-line supervisors caring for 7 full-time adults, aged 20-38 who are wheelchair bound, incontinent, non-verbal and developmentally delayed. They are unable to do anything for themselves. We also had respite clients of all ages coming into the home including a 4-year old who was with us for 3 weeks. I have my first aid, cpr (infant, child and adult) and cpi training and will continue to keep them current. I am also registered with the Rural Family Connections in Metcalfe which gives me access to educational programs as well as play groups to take the children to. This also allows me to offer subsidies. I am on the bus routes for Metcalfe Public, Greely Public, Castor Valley Public and St. Catherine Schools. I have a good playground in my backyard and am within walking distance of the village playground. We are non-smokers. No pool or pets. I am approximately 10 minutes from Bank St. and Mitch Owens Rd. and 5 minutes from the Boundary Rd. access to the 417.
