Hi, my name is Pam and I am a registered ECE and a mother of two. I opened my home daycare in the Fall of 2003 and have been providing quality care for families ever since. I have 12 years of daycare experience and have worked with children of all ages.
I believe that all children are individuals and have different developmental needs. Together with the parents I teach and support all the children in my care and help them grow as individuals and help prepare them for school.
I believe that children learn through play and that is exactly what we encourage at my daycare. We sing, recite poems, read stories, complete colouring pages and educational activity sheets. The children will participate in crafts, colouring, sensory activities such as play-doh and the water table. We love to play outdoors in our large fenced yard during ALL four seasons and in nice weather we go on daily walks and we also go on field trips during the summer months.
At my home daycare it is an "at home" environment. Comfortable and warm and I will treat and care for your child(ren) as I would my own.
I send out bi-monthly newsletters to all parents via e-mail which will remind you of any upcoming events as well as letting you know what your child is working on or needing. This is a great way to communicate with you regularly and is an easy way for you to remember what is coming up within the next couple of months.
Here at my daycare we have a semi-structured daily schedule. With my experience I have seen how a daily schedule helps children in many ways.
Here is our Daily Schedule:
8-8:30: Freeplay
8:30-9: School Run
9-9:15: Morning Snack
9:15-10: Freeplay
10-11: Walk/Outdoor Play
11-11:30: Puzzle time/Sensory play/Colouring
11:30-12: Lunch
12-12:30: Clean up/Books/Bathroom routine
12:30-2:30: Nap Time/Quiet Time
2:30-3:00: Freeplay
3:00-3:40: School Run/Afternoon Snack
3:40-4:10: Arts/Crafts/Creatives
4:10-5: Outdoor Play
(This Schedule may change due to weather or because of any special events or planned activity)

Here are some examples of our snacks/lunches:
Am Snacks: Bagels, English Muffins, Toast, Cereal, Blueberry Muffins, Crumpets, Banana Bread.
Lunches: Pancakes with sausage or turkey bacon, Chicken nuggets and Fries, Spaghetti and Meatballs, Hotdogs with Mac and Cheese, Tacos etc.
(ALL LUNCHES COME WITH A VEGETABLE AND DESSERT)
Pm Snack: FRUIT EVERY DAY, goldfish crackers/child friendly crackers, cheese and crackers, peanut butter crackers, nachos and dip etc.

I offer alternate care options when I am unavailable due to appointments and supply all equipment such as high chairs, booster seats, playpens and strollers.
Tax Receipts given to all clients at the end of each year.
