I am an Early Childhood Educator with 20 years of child care experience, including centre based care, play group facilitating and home day care.
My program is very stimulating with a focus on exploring creativity (dance, music and art) and on nature and environmentalism. My space is designed designed similar to a day care centre, with activity centres such as an art table, sensory bin, table top activities and floor activities. Over the years I have collected a variety of equipment and toys that are developmentally appropriate for all age groups and interests.
In the warmer months, we travel a block away using a 6 seat stroller to McNabb park; large field, three play structures, dog park, skateboard park. We become familiar with our community by sharing our toys and inviting children from the neighbourhood to join us.
The backyard is used throughout winter; build forts, sliding, snow sculptures.
