Thank you for your interest in Playcare! My name is Melinda, and I am in my fifth year of this exciting and rewarding experience of operating Funshine Playcare. Playcare is a fun, family oriented home daycare. I`m mom to two healthy little ladies who just won`t stop growing, and are now six & seven years old!! Working with little ones has been a passion for quite awhile. I obtained a diploma in Child and Youth Work here in Kingston back in 2006 and have had the rewarding experience of working with children of all ages in educational, residential, and community based settings. Along with a diploma is CYW, I am certified in First Aid and CPR, Crisis Prevention Intervention, have a clean CPIC, and am experienced working with children with cognitive and behavioral disorders.
Playcare is an established home daycare and is designed to serve families with children nearing twelve months and up. I am dedicated to providing enriching care in a caring environment. Playcare is a place where we try to find a nice balance between structured early learning and care free, kid approved creative play.
Playcare is nestled in a quiet residential neighborhood off Portsmouth Avenue.
We're located directly beside large park with nature trails, playground, and soccer field.
