Dear Parents,
My son and I are looking for three friends to help brighten our days. Part-time and full time children welcome. I believe that young children need lots of love and attention, and for that reason, including my son, I am limiting the number of children in my daycare to four per day. There will be a balance of learning and play, structure and spontaneity, as well as indoor and outdoor time. We are steps away from C H Norton Public School and a very nice playground. Check out photos of our house just to give you an idea of the environment. Our 500 square foot basement is under renovation and will be made into a space just for the kids– new flooring, ceiling, bright colours, and we’re even putting in a large window both for safety and atmosphere! With over seven years experience in social services, an educational background in psychology and rehabilitation, and lots of experience with children, including my own, I will give your child all the nurturing necessary for a healthy upbringing!
Some of the Basics:
Toddlers and pre-school ages: 12 months and up
2-3 snacks and 1 hot lunch: All homemade and nutritious, nothing out of a box ;).
Daily learning time: Reading and keeping up a commentary is the best way to develop a child’s language. We’ll also play games with alphabet and number cards, and I will continue to come up with fresh methods to stimulate each child’s learning.
Indoor and outdoor play: I have a nice patio out back, a school playground steps away, and on those colder days we’ll still bundle up and get out there (walks, snowmen, you name it, we’ll be spontaneous).
Rates: $45 per day (up to 9.5 hours per day).
Tax receipts: Will be provided.
Non-smoking and no pets: Always a clean environment.
Current First Aid, CPR, Police Check: 2012 Training through Cardiac Safe City (Toronto EMS), Police Check including Vulnerable Sector Screening for all adults in household (including me, my husband George, and Grandma Marj too – she will drop in if ever I need an extra set of hands;). |
