Hi my name is Vanessa and I am an RECE. I have been working in the field for over 10 years. I am registered with the college of ECE. I have worked with all ages from infants to school aged children. I am a mother of 4, but usually feel like a mother to many more.
I started a home day care to offer parents a safe and fun environment for their children. As a parent I wanted to create a childcare that I would want my own children to attend. A safe, fun and supportive environment is key when promoting a child's development.
As a family childcare provider, my goal is to provide a safe and happy place for children. A place to learn and grow physically, emotionally, intellectually, and socially at their own pace. I believe that children learn through play and benefit from a structured yet flexible environment. Activities will be offered which stimulate sensory, motor development, language development, and social interaction. The development of strong self esteem is also a major goal. Children will be taught to respect each other, adults, and property. The name Helping Hands also play a vital role in my philosophy. I believe that children should be taught by example therefore, activities will be set-up to encourage helping others in our community.
Benefits:
Smaller group sizes allow children to have more one on one attention that they need and deserve.
Home setting which children to feel more secure and comfortable in.
Pet friendly environment, therefore children learn how to interact with animals and the responsiblities included.
Mixed age groups that reflect a family like setting, helping your child(ren) to feel more comfortable with other children.
Consistent caregiver.
"Mom factor" shares in the same philosophies.
