WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?
I am located in Welland, on Alberta Street.
HOW MANY SPOTS DO YOU HAVE?
We have 3 full time spots open. One February 1st the other two March 1st.
I will be booking interviews starting January 28th and we will be having an open house Saturday February 2nd, 9:00am-12:00pm
WHAT AGE GROUPS DO YOU PROVIDE FOR?
I provide care for children 6 months - School age.
WHAT KIND OF PROGRAM IS BEING RUN?
My priority is the children, I choose to run a daycare in my home because I believe that Children need a loving, safe environment where the focus is on them and not on regulations and red tape.
I want to support your child in all of their developmental levels
intellectually, emotionally, socially, and physically. I believe it is important to encourage children in developing independence, self-confidence and respect to others and the environment.
My home is unique as I plan preschool-like programming while enjoying a relaxed and loving home care environment. I believe that it is important to focus on not only social development but cognitive development as well. The children will have circle, craft and outdoor time (weather permitting) daily while enjoying other spontaneous activities like baking, music times, gardening and walks. As a teacher I also really enjoy having special activity days like Pyjama day, crazy hair day and teddy bear picnics!
I provide home cooked healthy food for both lunch and snacks. I believe that healthy food is very important for development. The children will have their own personal play pen for sleeping that will not be shared with anyone else. All sheets and other fabrics will be washed weekly.
WHO WILL BE WATCHING MY CHILD?
My name is Elana and I will be running the daycare out of my home. My husband is also an early childhood educator though he works elsewhere outside of the home.
Let me tell you a bit about myself…
I am a Niagara College Early Childhood Educator Graduate and I have been in the field about 6 years now. I have experience with children from newborn to 12 years old. I also have a beautiful 2-year-old daughter. I am a member of the College of Early Childhood Educators and have been since it was established in 2007.
I currently have an up to date standard first aid and Level C CPR (which includes infant/children). Also, in the past, I have had my lifeguard certification and while the certificate has expired I am an active swimmer. I have training in many developmental screening tests including speech and language, fine and gross motor and behavioural screenings. I have a clear police check and driving record. I absolutely LOVE photography, scrapbooking and all things crafty. I love to read, write and sing. I also love to be outside doing whatever I can.

My fees are very competitive and are based on your child's age and childcare needs. Give me a call and we can talk about your families needs.
