Welcome!
I am the mother of two daughters, 11 & 15, and have been running my home daycare for over 9 years in Chapel Hill North. I used to work outside the home so I understand how you feel as a working parent. I originally stayed home to be with my girls but found out I loved it so much, I went back to school to obtain my ECE diploma (which I just completed April 2016). Because of this, I welcome, regular before and after school, part time, or temporary children in my home. I am also available full days during PD days & school holidays ($40.00/day).
I follow the CCEYA (Child Care & Early Years Act) and believe in safety, nurturing creativity, promoting independence to nurture self-esteem, and encouraging sharing & choices to nurture pro-social skills. I love helping children develop in all areas including language, social & emotional skills, motor skills, and cognition. I provide nutritious (lunches and) snacks, daily outings during holidays (weather permitting) including park play time, story time, and library days. I have both a play room and a craft room in my home and love to bake with and for the children. I run my daycare like I run my home - lots of warmth, sharing, hugs, TLC, and learning opportunities.
