Registered BScN still employed at CHEO (casual) in a custom build home on a country lot with a separate dedicated daycare space in the walk out basement with lots of large windows and patio door. A home daycare feel with the structure of a preschool.
We spend our day doing lots of educational activities, circle time, music time, dance parties, toddler yoga, lots of crafts, sensory experiences, lots of time for imaginary play. We are outside everyday as much as we can be depending on the weather. Lots of outdoor toys and space to play, I have a four seater stroller for nature walks. We have a large bouncey house for special occasions and rainy days/-20 days ensuring we always get our exercise. We celebrate all the holidays with special songs, activities and crafts.
Healthy homemade meals and snacks following the food guide, will accomodate for allergies/intolerances.
SAMPLE day
breakfast: Cheerios and milk, banana
Snack: Fresh apple, cheese chunks and gold fish crackers, orange juice
Lunch: Homemade chicken noodle veggie soup, buttered bread and pudding for dessert, milk
Snack: yogourt and blueberries, water
Supporting the intellectual, emotional and social development through positive nurturing care. CPR-level C and criminal reference check completed. Fully insured. Pet free daycare space though we do have a dog upstairs. No forced naps for children who don't currently nap in the afternoon, Quiet time is spent playing board games, reading books, and baking. |
