Hello, my name is Chrissy. I am a fun-loving, energetic, creative, mid-thirties mother of 2 - a 4 year old daughter and 1 year old son. After having my second child I decided I did not want to return to the corporate world, but wanted to stay home with my children and open a home daycare.
I really enjoy working with children as their simple approach to everyday life intrigues me and offers me a chance to teach, and learn from, them. Like many girls, I began babysitting around the age of 12 (to support my clothing addiction). In my twenties I became a full-time nanny for a family with three children - ages 3 to 8. During my years of babysitting and nannying my child-centred goals were to always have fun, engage the children in a variety of activities, and provide a safe environment in which to do so. In opening my own daycare, my goal is to ensure your children receive kindness, support, and encouragement each and every time they are in my home.
I am a responsible, capable, and reliable person. I am fun, energetic, and self-motivated. I am very safety oriented and I always consider the well being of the children before anything else. I have a safe and reliable vehicle. I have a clean driving record with over 20 years of accident free driving experience. I am very organized and am great at following a schedule; or flying by the seat of my pants when necessary (to which I am sure many parents can relate!).
The daycare consists of a large bright daycare room and a fenced backyard with age appropriate toys inside and out. It is walking distance to Cloverdale Athletic Park which has a great playground and water park for the hot summer days. There are also lots of fields for free play, rest, or picnics.
Each day will be semi structured day with activities that may include, but are not limited to story time, circle time, songs, dancing, dress up and outside play (weather permitting). All activities will include components of social growth including such things as manners, respect, and self-esteem.

I have my emergency first aid and infant CPR. I have criminal record check as well.
