My name is Jasmine Akre and I run a family dayhome through the agency Child Development Dayhomes of Alberta, which is a licenced and accredited agency. One of the advantages of working with the agency is that there is government sudsidies which help with the cost of child care if you qualify.
I worked in a daycare setting for 2 years before having my own children, I now have 2 boys of my own (5yrs and 3yrs old) I started my Dayhome 6 months ago when my provider closed. We do have a family dog, he is a 7 year old energetic and very kid friendly pug :)
My home has 3 floors of which we use 2 for the dayhome, the 2 floor of the day home is a very large playroom set up to look just like a preschool, with centers and many many toys.
I am well equiped to handle children of any age and capeability,
I am energetic, patient and love adventure.
I provide breakfast lunch and snacks.
We love to stay busy with anything from going to the zoo, the library, sledding, playing at the park or staying in and playing board games, play do, crafts and story time.
I like to spend part of each day focusing on educational goals such as reading, writing, colors, shapes and numbers. |
