Atmosphere is fun, respectful, loving and kind. I love what I do, watching children grow and how they develop is exciting to me. Engaging with them and being a part of their everyday life is a privilege. Each one is so special and inevitably they and their families quickly become like family.
Activities include trips to Milton conservation parks, Loweville park, ice skating, tobogganing, playgrounds, tennis, swimming in spring and summer as well as berry, apple and pumpkin picking, trips to library at least once a week. Indoor physical activities, dancing, soccer, weekly gymnastics at Milton Springers. Walks to the pond to feed the geese. Trips to Springridge Farm. Ride bikes and scooters.
Lunches and snacks provided are healthy fruit, veggies, and whole grains often organic and homemade.
Education is fun, we read, teach 4 and 5 year olds sight words. Practice number and letter recognition, as well as adding and subtracting, sorting, and patterns. Science experiments, such as making and learning about volcanoes. Simple principle of science such as buoyancy, photosynthesis, etc. making flubber, elephant toothpaste, rainbows.
Art using several mediums, modeling clay, paints, beading, sewing, trips to pottery painting and general crafts and drawings. Example: After visiting Mountsberg Conservation park, learning about owls children made beautiful pictures of owls using feathers, macaroni, cotton and precut snowflakes. They also made owls out of pine cones and felt pieces.
No pets.
