Welcome to Kitten Adventure Time!
My name is Kate Summerbell. I am a mother of twins and an established home daycare provider with close to 10 years experience. I have recently moved to the community of Sandy Hook in Braeside/Arnprior and have set up my daycare on a quiet street right beside the river in a beautiful new space - a bright playroom, nap-rooms, kitchen, bathroom, deck and yard are all dedicated to the daycare. And the view is gorgeous!
I offer a nurturing and loving environment for your child. My educational curriculum focuses on play, exploration, nature, early literacy and positive social skills, as well as a lot of love and support in the first critical years. We are a daycare-on-the-go - we have regular field trips, library visits, playgroups, and seasonal activities and crafts. I have created a stimulating theme-based seasonal curriculum tailored to developmental stages, with a focus on early literacy and real-world exploration.
Healthy vegetarian meals and snacks are served, and cloth diapering is welcome. With 5 spaces currently available, I can accommodate siblings in larger families. My hours can be flexible to accommodate commuting parents.
Five spaces are currently available for ages 1-4. I will accept older school-aged children if I have space in summer. I have certified training in First Aid, First Words, and as a Car-Seat Technician. I am a member and former Network Leader of the Child-Care Provider's Resource Network of Ottawa, and am very involved with the child care community.
